Dragon Fey

One of my first poems ever. This thing is old. Like, early high school old. I’m kinda pleased. Except that I’m just copying and pasting stuff from another site I had my writings on and it keeps formatting everything wierd and doesn’t want me to fix it here.

In ancient lands with skies of gray
Live the magic people of fey
With these faerie the humans play
Then began a fateful day

A disagreement gone too far
Started man and fey to spar
A pleasant peace they did mar
Wars broke out and lands did char

The wrath of humans was in the fey
Man then was caused great dismay
The faerie magic was used that day
All things good hath gone away

Other races of the lands did plead
Elves, dwarves, and gnomes did heed
With Halflings and others, with the need
An end to battles, and end to bleed

Many monsters the fey did make
Unfortunately many thought them fake
The fey soon realized their mistake
The world they did obliterate

Many animals they did meld
Great powers all these creatures held
Attempts to hold these orcs have failed
Goblins, kraken, and harpy wailed

Many centuries after passed
Tension between races did not last
Peace arose, though none too fast
Though monsters were all outcast

The fey soon had a solution
To rid of monsters and make redemption
They took past ideas and a notion
A new monster would be their creation

A new monster they did prepare
Obedience taught, none did dare
Monsters it would cause great despair
But was fated to be its master’s affair

Taking a lizard’s few small scale
Infusing it with a fiend from hell
A fiery phoenix that flew quite well
Making a beast thought only a tale

With a scaled hide of red
It would make fear even in undead
Even a sword to draw blood red
Would cause it no spark of dread

From the great hot belly came
The searing hot, deep red flame
The dead fey found this no game
The Dragon became this legend’s name
